Morse v. Frederick (1969).
The reason why we chose this topic is because it deals with the aspect of free speech within schools. Most cases dealing with free speech within schools are often taken in regards of minors or schooling of high school level and lower. We thought it would be interesting to see the effect of free speech when it came to college campuses. We also found it interesting that Fredericks message was hardly political other than the fact that it was expressing freedom of speech. So for this shirt we thought we would add another element to the pro legal drug use message and combine it with a slightly more political speech dealing with anti war speech.
